  Multi-channel advertising campaign - a combination of adverts, promotions, sponsorships and media coverage that a company uses to promote a product or raise brand awareness.  Brand awareness - knowledge of your brand, product or service amongst your target audience or the general population.  Geographic - where the target audience lives.  Demographic - groups of the target audience that share characteristics such as age, race, gender and social status.  Psychometrics - broad categories that define different types of people based on their lifestyle, opinions and values. These are aspirer, explorer, mainstreamer, reformer, resigned, struggler, succeeder.  VAL - part of psychometrics - values, attitudes, lifestyle  Aspirer - a type of person who wants status brands that show their place in society.     Media product: Marvel's Black Widow Social media/print/TV Aims and objectives The company 'Marvel' is a subsidiary of the conglomerate company 'Disney'. Since Disney is a large conglomerate they have many subsidiaries, this allows Marvel, along with their other subsidiaries to advertise their products through synergy. There are many ways that they can do this but a couple of the most obvious are through the use of the streaming service 'Disney+' along with their different social media accounts which is a form of below the line advertising. The company makes money through the sale of tickets as well as a selection of toys and collectable items relating to the films. However, t he aim of this specific campaign is to  create awareness,  increase ticket sales and gain an audience for the movie release 'Black Widow'.   CALL TO ACTION  is what the brand wants you to do next  response can be instant  aims and objectives target audience  key messages  approach  is it a hard sell, soft sell? representation  - campaign logistics, the structure of the campaign as well as the timescale, things like budget need to be thought about. -so how much the advert was to make  advertising agency- produce adverts for other companies because of their expertise  choice  of media why company chose specific type of media, can be based off the target audience call to action legal and ethical  copyright, data protection  regulation  (ASA, OFCOM, IPSO)

Ideology-communicates ideas, values and lifestyle and communicates values about society  Ideology of  domesticity -traditional family home  supporting the stereotypes of how woman are the ones that will typically be cleaning in the households goes against stereotypes by showing a man doing the cleaning, which typically would be a woman's job.  Carl rogers  1980 - psychology theory  the subject of adverts - shows the ideal self or a persons ideal partners.

CROSS CULTURAL CONSUMER CHARACTERISTICS    Psychographic  Mainstreamer-life choices brand identity/security  Explorer driven by a need for discovery/challenge  Reformer targeted by charities/people who want to change the world -anti materialistic- not bothered about big brands   Aspirer someone who wants to be/aspires to be wealthy -someone who enjoys status  Succeeder something that makes you more successful-seek reward and know that they succeed strugglers live for everyday -dependant on quick fix brands -often see themselves as victims  resigned act in traditional roles -enjoy safety- elderly or retired

  Purposes of advertising:  To inform educate  to increase sales  influence to change  increase popularity and recognition of your company  Main purposes of commercial advertising:  create awareness-(to inform, to educate, new commercial product) Introduce a new product to the market-diversify  Increase sales-deals/offers/psychological hierarchy of needs  Rebrand an existing product-change in aesthetics overtime-society value changes  Generate feedback-feedback from the audience-testing the market-to become part of future assets
